This is a crit-heavy pet sorc using the Back-Alley Gourmand set from the Galen DLC zone, which replaces the crafted Order's Wrath options. Make sure you have a food buff running for the new set's 5-piece bonus. Ghastly Eye Bowl is a good choice.

As long as you are confident in maintaining uptime on Critical Surge, you can use Essence of Spell Critical (less expensive than Spell Power) or even regular Essence of Magicka potions in normal content.

This uses a destro staff on the back bar instead of a two-handed weapon, which makes it different from a lot of Update 35 & 36 meta builds. This gives you some range when needed. The Unstable Wall of Elements ability can also be a flex slot if you find you need a burst heal, shield, or another single target DoT instead, for example.

Boundless Storm offers a helpful amount of resistance and mobility which grants some room to be adaptive in playstyle between various dungeons or PUGs. If you are confident in the content and the group, this might be a second choice for a flex slot, without spec'ing into the two-hand weapon skill line.

It almost goes without saying, but even if you think you have months of meta stability, only gold out the jewelry if you actually have the mats to spare. It's usually prohibitively expensive, and players almost always regret it.
