Build description
Every status under the sun. Two options, the front bar is more intense damage forward, the back bar has more survivability and support potential. I use the back bar more, but it's lovely to use regardless. Play around with your heal and your ultimate to see what active and passive effects you like.
Thurvokun might seem like a weird choice at first, but it passively applies diseased in a huge AOE, which is incredible for dealing with swarms as diseased gets stronger the more enemies there are. It's superb. Also, the visuals are on point. Feel free to sub out wrath of elements for Agility if you don't like the visuals, want to use Scribing, or can't be bothered running Vateshran. You'll only loose about 1k DPS, and it will ease up your positioning and weaving so it's plenty fine.
Also, no need to bother with a charged trait on a weapon, because the chance is pretty high with arcanist/destruction staff and then most status application is guaranteed anyway, better to proc the poison enchantment more.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
AOE Status Sources: Physical, Disease (guaranteed), Bleed (guaranteed), Magic, Frost, Fire, Shock
Single Target Status Sources: Poison (basically guaranteed), Frost (guaranteed), Fire (guaranteed), Shock (guaranteed)
Scribing Changeouts
Elemental Susceptability for Elemental Explosion - Magic Damage/Stun, Assassin's Misery, Lifesteal
- Pros: Guaranteed Frost, Fire and Shock statuses in an AoE, and decent Magic status chance. Nice utility affix scripts.
- Cons: Cast time, Cast Cost, no Major Breach, and less recurring damage from Frost and Shock statuses.
- Verdict: Personal Taste, probably better for group PvE.
Trap Beast for Trample - (Any focus script, but try) Magic Damage, Assassin's Misery, Expedition/Heroism/Mangle
- Pros: More versatile and wider area Bleed plus Shock and Physical status AoE. Huge script versatility, as needed.
- Cons: Loss of Fighters Guild Passives, loss of bleed DoT, small cast time.
- Verdict: Highly Recommended
