Build description
DoT Dragon PvP Stamina DK by Rylexx
I will be releasing a YouTube video on this build soon.
THIS IS A BATTLEGROUND BUILD (that is why I have not included champion points).
We are using a 5/1/1 armor setup with 5 medium. I have chosen Nord for my race, and because of those 4k resists from the Nord passives, it allows me to use medium armor for a higher dps output.
As for traits you can run 7 impenetrable or 5 impenetrable and 2 well fitted, its up to you. On weapons I use sharpened/infused on the dual wield weapons (1h axe/dagger), and sharpened for the 2H axe on the back bar.
Enchants I use are tri-stat on all pieces. Having an increased health and magicka pool will be very helpful in keeping yourself alive since your defensive abilities cost magicka. On jewelry I use 1 weapon damage enchant and 2 stamina recovery enchants. On the 1H axe I use a shock enchant, on the dagger I use weapon damage enchant, which is the infused piece. On the 2H axe on the back bar I use poisons so the enchant doesn't matter.
We are using Deadly Strike for our main damage set, giving us 14% more damage done on ALL of our DoTs.
We are using Shacklebreaker for our sustain set, giving us max resources minus health and bonus recovery.
For monster sets I use either Valkyn Skoria or Kra'ghs. Valkyn gives us a ton of burst, and though it deals flame damage, which does not scale with our max stamina, it still hits very hard in PvP. Because we have so many DoTs (8 to be exact) the 8% proc chance on Valkyn almost seems like nothing. Kra'ghs itself procs a physical damage DoT, which will be buffed by our Deadly set therefore hitting pretty hard and it procs almost half as often as Valkyn. Plus Kra'ghs 1 set bonus gives us more penetration.
As for Mundus I prefer Serpent for more sustain, but if you want more damage, try Lover or Warrior.
Potions I use are Tri-Stat or Immovability HP/Stam.
Poisons I use are Damage Health IX. Crown Poisons are decent too since you seem to get an abundance of those.
Food buff I use is Dubious Camoran Throne for extra sustain. You could run Blue HP/Stam food if you run Serpent and are happy with the sustain that you get.
Race I have chosen Nord, purely for the extra resist to run medium armor. If you rather not play Nord, go for Orc and then Redguard. Orc for more movement speed and weapon damage is great in PvP. Redguard just has amazing sustain, meaning you could run other foods/mundus.
The basic goal of this build is apply all 8 of your DoTs to a target to whittle them down applying massive pressure. This is NOT a burst build, though it can be if you land a ult, valkyn, and execute in a quick succession. This build is meant to spread all of your DoTs to multiple targets and apply pressure to the enemy team and especially the healers. Healers will typically have a difficult time healing through all of those DoTs.
Skill Explanation:
Main Bar (Dual Wield Axe/Dagger):
Venomous Claw: A poison DoT that is stronger the longer it is active on the target. Try to apply this DoT first.
Rending Slashes/Blood Craze: A bleed DoT. Rending Slashes hits a little bit harder and slows by 40% for 4 sec. Blood Craze heals you every 2 seconds while the bleed ticks. If you want more crowd control simply go Rending, if you want more healing go Blood Craze.
Noxious Breath: A poison DoT. This doesn't hit very hard, but it adds another DoT to proc Valkyn, if you choose to run that. Plus, it adds Major Fracture reducing enemy physical resistance which does help.
Vigor: Our basic heal ability. It heals over time so there is no point in spamming it, plus, it costs quite a bit.
Quick Cloak: This is actually a DoT. I prefer to use this morph over Deadly Cloak simply just to move faster around the map. Since we do not have any gap closers or movement speed buffs as stam DK, this helps a lot. This also reduces our area damage taken by 25% which is huge.
Flawless Dawnbreaker/Dawnbreaker of Smiting: Our main ultimate, hits very hard, has a physical damage DoT, buffed by Deadly set, cheap cost, enough said. Flawless gives us a bit more weapon damage, Smiting gives you an AoE stun.
Back Bar (2 Handed Axe):
Reverse Slice/Executioner: This is our execute ability. Either morphs works great, I prefer the AoE splash damage from Reverse Slice over the extra damage from Executioner. Use this on targets below 30% health.
Rally: Our weapon damage buff and a decent heal over time. I prefer the healing morph over the immovability morph, where you could just use immovability pots. Heals more the longer it is active. Re-activate it mid battle for a decent sized heal.
Fossilize: Our main form of crowd control. Stuns for 3 seconds and cannot be blocked or dodged, this skill will get you some hate mail.
Reflective Plate: Great defensive tool that reflects 4 projectiles after activated. I've reflected from crazy stuff with this which can really win you the fight.
Volatile Armor: Gives us 5.28k physical and spell resistance for 20 seconds. Keep this up at all times.
Onslaught/Take Flight/Corrosive Armor: This is your flex ult spot. There are many great choices for a back bar ult. Onslaught hits very hard due to negating enemy resistances. Take Flight is an amazing gap closer, stuns for 2 seconds, and hits hard. Corrosive Armor makes you almost invincible and deals a bit of poison damage.
