The goal here is making the most of all of nightblades "slotted on either" passives to make a deadly PvP option on one hand, and a stealthy overworld killer on the other. Gets the maximum effect from Markyn, and generally should cut through enemies.

Works just fine without Markyn, but it'll take it to a whole new level. You should be able to get Order's Wrath without High Isle, either ask for help or head to a fleshed-out guild house and make it yourself. Darloc should be really cheap in guild stores, look for some of the unique-named pieces like Blade of the Rawlith Kaj. Blessing of the Potentates also works well instead of Eagle Eye, to get barrage off more.

Vampire optional, but plays really well for the overworld stuff and adds some burst with leaving cloak. Sated Fury works well in place of lightweight beast trap too, or hypnosis.
