Build description
I have only selected the abilities that are needed for my PVE build.
the energy overload bar which is not listed here consists of:
X= Daedric Minefield
Y= Inner light
B= Boundless Storm
LB= Conjured Ward
RB= Power Surge
Minefield for efficient dps, inner light for increased crit chance/max magicka (which scales the dmg of energy overload), boundless storm for protection/mobility, conjured ward for defense, power surge for more damage and heals. Use light attacks for sick single target dps when you need to burn something down FAST.
On the build shown my front bar is my single target burn bar. Flame Rune can be switched out for Structured Entropy if your target is unlikely to walk over it, or you need something you can shoot at range quickly. I use flame rune as the default since it is AOE, and stuns targets. Also during trash pulls in trials/dungeons I normally put inevitable Detonation in place of Endless fury (rarely need an execute on trash - and laying 2 detonations down, before swapping to AOE bar to unleash hell, is very effective.)
On back bar Lightning Flood can be switched out with crushing shock when soloing, or when an interrupt is needed for a boss fight.
Single target dps rotation (start on back bar, cast power surge -> Conjured ward -> swap bars -> Flame rune (activates might of the guild) -> Vel Curse -> flame rune -> Crystal frags (if insta cast has triggered - endless fury if not) - > flame rune - > curse -> frag -> rinse repeat, things die. - keep your power surge up, if wanting to do MAX burst DPS on a single target - start on back bar and lay down an AOE rotation 1st - then switch to front bar.
AOE rotation (start on back bar, Cast power surge -> ward -> bar swap -> Flame rune -> Vel Curse -> bar swap -> Elemental wall -> lightning flood -> Elemental Ring -> 1 Heavy attack - > bar swap -> flame rune -> Wall -> Flood -> Ring -> Heavy attack ->bar swap -> etc etc
gear:
I currently use 5 piece julianos, 2 piece torugs pact (swords), 3 piece willpower (rings/neck), and have head/shoulder open for swapping monster sets around (Molag kena procs off of light attacks while in energy overload - so my go to for single target dps), Engine guardian is nice in situations that drain resources against you actively, Valkyn Skoria is USEFUL against trash packs (all of your aoe attacks on back bar are dots, so is structured entropy)
Anyone in Obsidian Guard who plays a magicka sorc that wants a lesson on how to do serious burn - just let me know, i will do my best to arrange a time to sit down and go over it with you.
