Build description
Solo Q healer build for BGs [Magplar]
This is a 5-piece light armor build.
[Wizard's Riposte / Transmutation] - Light Armor
Two defensive 5-piece sets, both of which apply to the whole team. Think of it this way. If you're wearing transmutation, then everyone on your team is also wearing it. Same with Wizard's Riposte (with a lower up-time).
[Pirate Skeleton] - Heavy Armor
This is a must because you need to be able to tank damage, and the single largest damage mitigation you can get in this game is Major protection. You can get Major Protection from several sources, but we're going to go with the PS because we want our 5-pieces to help the whole team mitigate damage.
[Asylum Restoration Staff]
Since Transmutation only needs to be on one bar, we have a free slot for a special 1-piece. Asylum restoration staff gives us access to the restoration staff ultimate, Life Giver. Life Giver is superior to the templar class healing ulti in BGs (I actually think in general) in every way. It heals better. It mitigates more damage, buffs the team, has better mobility, and is fire-and-forget. It triggers the Asylum resoration staff, etc.
[Jewelry Traits/Enchant]
3x Magicka Regen
3x Arcane (Max Magicka)
[Mundus]
Atronach (+mag regen)
[Race]
Breton
--===--
stack team-wide mitigation with big big magicka sustain on a magicka templar and you have a very strong support
-15% dmg / minor maim
+1200 crit resist / transmutation
+1700 resistances / minor ward
The above buffs are applied to your whole team including ourself, making everyone very tanky. Mitigation benefits heals more than raw stats. Why? If my entire team is taking 15% less damage, then that is the same thing as healing 15% more. At the same time, mitigation also inflates the value of your team's health pool by 15%.
-30% dmg / major protection
-8% dmg / minor protection
+8% healing / minor mending
You also have the above defensive buffs to help tank damage; Major Protection from Pirate Skeleton, Minor Protection from Psijic ultimate (back bar), and minor mending from templar class passives.
2500 mag regen / character sheet regen
480 mag regen / channeled focus
10% mag cost reduction / light armor
8% mag cost reduction / Breton
461 magicka / resto infused enchant
This is a ton of sustain, even more with potion up. If you're left alone, you can potentially heal forever.
