Build description
Armor Sets (all Heavy):
- 5 piece Orgnum's Scales
- 2 piece Vampires Kiss
- 2 Piece Engine Guardian
(Large pieces infused, small divines, weapons defending, Max health glyphs, Lord mundus)
Game play:
This build is only meant for running dungeons and trials. All PvE solo content can be done on this build, but it is a long grind due to the lack of dps. If used for solo game play, swap werewolf for empowering sweep. This build is designed simply to stay alive and hold aggro (which is a tanks job). It also excels at providing small back up heals when necessary. This build relies heavily on max health and health recovery, so make sure those are as high as possible. I am currently sitting at 44k health with v16 purple gear. The concept behind this build is to rely on shield stacking for damage mitigation as opposed to armor. With both bone shield and radiant ward absorbing 33% of my max health, that translates to nearly 30k damage being absorbed. This coupled with the other buffs and absorb magic means that I am rarely getting hit. The only downside to this build is resource management. This is why engine guardian is a must. Since only your radiant ward uses magicka, I use max health and stamina food. The food along with engine guardian, heavy attacks, repentance, stam potions(which are a must and are used frequently) and if you have a healer with shards; resource management is not too bad.
Tanking:
To when tanking with this build begin your rotation with a blood altar, then use evasion, immovable, and absorb magic. At this point begin taunting and obtaining aggro. While taunting be sure to use bone shield, absorb magick and radiant ward as needed. When the dps starts killing mobs, be sure to use repentance to recover stamina and health. If heals are not an issue use empowering sweep for the larger mob pulls. Be sure to reapply buffs and altars as much as your resources permit. Be careful to not spam abilities too much or else you will quickly run out of resources. While taunting and applying buffs, be sure to constantly heavy attack to recover stamina. Only use breath of life and rite of passage in EMERGENCIES. Other than that just rinse and repeat. Your flex spot in this build is your blood altar. I prefer to use it for the added health recovery (altar 20%, orgnum scales 60% if under 50% health, and 2.5k+ base health recovery = HoT while shields are up). In some cases i will use other abilities in place of blood altar though when the situation deems it necessary.
Other than that, my gamer tag on Xbox One is SweatiestRaptor, feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
